Brandon Bowmore is a suburban Australian intellectual, born in the wrong place at the wrong time: Brisbane in the 1970s and 80s.  Neither he nor his best friend Paddy 'fit in', ill equipped for the realities and frustrations of the so-called real world.  Their stories are by turns funny, wry, and poignant as they come to terms with their own small triumphs, big disappointments, and inevitable compromises.
